BEIRUT, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Gunfire was heard in Beirut's southern suburbs as a 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect on Friday. Local Al Jadeed TV reported that the gunfire came from people celebrating the start of the truce. ■
