KIEV, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Representatives of Europe will take part in peace negotiations between Ukraine and the United States on Friday, Ukraine's top peace negotiator Rustem Umerov said.

"Today in the United States, together with Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov, we will begin another round of consultations with the American side. At the invitation of the U.S. side, European partners are also involved in this format," Umerov wrote on social media.

He added that the Ukrainian delegation has already held preliminary consultations with European representatives and is preparing for further discussions with the U.S. side.

Umerov emphasized that the Ukrainian team remains committed to a constructive process and will act in line with the priorities set by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, including the need for reliable long-term security guarantees for Ukraine. ■
